COFFS HARBOUR AMBULANCE STATION

Design & Construct – RAIR Stage 2

Patterson Building Group were appointed by Health Infrastructure NSW as head contractor to undertake the Design and Construction of a new Ambulance Station at Coffs Harbour.

The project involved the construction of a new purpose built 12-vehicle Ambulance Station and carpark as follows:

-Administration offices and meeting rooms
-Amenities including lockers and accessible WC/shower
-Medical Store, Kitchen and Dining facilities
-Relief rooms, Comms room, services and delivery rooms
-Plant room, PV panels and battery storage
-OSD tank, carparking area, gates and fencing
-Road and footpath upgrade to Marcia Street and landscaping

WOY WOY AMBULANCE STATION

Patterson Building Group were appointed by Health Infrastructure NSW as head contractor to undertake the design and construction of Woy Woy Ambulance Station.

Design & Construct, Lump Sum

The project involved the construction of a new purpose built ten vehicle ambulance station and carpark as follows:
• Administration offices and meeting rooms
• Amenities – lockers & accessible WC/shower
• Medical Store
• Kitchen and Dining facilities
• Relief rooms
• Comms room, services and delivery rooms
• Plant room
• PV panels and battery storage
• Carparking area, gates and fencing
• Landscaping
• Road and footpath upgrade to Ocean Beach Road

STAGE 3 PEDIATRIC WARD UPGRADE

Patterson Building Group were appointed by Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District as head contractor to undertake the upgrade of stage 3 of the Paediatric Ward at Wollongong Hospital.

The project involved site establishment, services locating, demolition of PC items, vinyl wall and floor finishes, skirting and shower curtain tracks, demolition of doors and existing walls, new wall partitions and linings, refurbishment and re-fit out of rooms, temporary relocation of staff station, fit off services, painting, flooring and final cleaning.

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was appointed by South Eastern Sydney Local Health District as head contractor to undertake the construction of the new Community Dental Clinic in Kogarah.

Our work includes alterations to the existing space to provide a new Dental Clinic and associated support spaces, protection of all areas/items not included in the works and access, repair all damage to existing, provision of dust separation of construction ? area and areas to be used by other tenants including separation of air conditioning that links to other areas not included in the work, alteration of existing gas, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and data systems.

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was appointed by Southern Eastern Sydney Local Health District as head contractor to undertake the extension to the Cancer Care Facility of the St George Hospital Cancer Care Centre connection to Pitney Building. 

The construction of the new building will deliver a new entrance and waiting area for patients and families. 

Our work involved new concrete and structural steel structure linking the Pitney Building to the ground floor of the Cancer Care Centre, vitradual cladding with mixed glass façade and entry, a new vinyl flooring and feature hanging spacemaile mesh. 

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited was appointed by Mace Group Pty Ltd as head contractor to undertake the refurbishment works of the Kids Cancer Centre – L2 of the Personalised Medicine Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. 

The refurbishment delivered new staff offices and amenities, a new reception and waiting area, along with patient beds and medication and consultation rooms. 

Our work involved demolition, formwork, reinforcement and concrete new structure, roofing, glazing, wall cladding, wall and ceiling framing, door frames, joinery, as well as, sealed hoardings, protection and dust monitoring. 

Patterson Building Group was engaged to build and deliver a new community centre for the town of Kiama. The projects scope of works included the construction of a new community health centre and carpark, including not only demolition works, but also civil and additional stormwater works. The project delivered
a community centre that had consultation and treatment areas, as
well as dental facilities and a gymnasium to cater for the Kiama
community.

The construction works comprised of concrete slabs for the ground structure, structural steel and lightweight steel composite timber and fibres cement cladded buildings.Aluminium windows and doors, an internal plasterboard wall and ceiling linings over which hung suspended tile ceilings. Carpet and vinyl for flooring
and all workstations, as well as internal FFE to all rooms.

Patterson Building Group Pty Limited is appointed as the Design
and Construct Contractor to undertake a 5 level extension to
Balmain Hospital.

The project involves extending the hospital’s Thornton Wing over
5 levels of the existing building. Our scope includes demolition,
formwork, reinforcement and concrete works, underpinning the
existing load bearing walls of the hospital, external cladding and
windows and the construction of the new wing as well as the
refurbishment of existing accommodation rooms and ensuites.

Patterson Building Group Pty Ltd was awarded the design and construct of Coffs Harbour GP Super Clinic for Bawrunga Medical Service.

This project was a Federally funded project and our regional experience and Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner Accreditation enabled us to tender for this project.

This project was originally tendered on client prepared DA drawings and the tenders were around $5.9 million. This exceeded the client’s budget of $4.2 million.

PBG undertook a major design review and prepared concept drawings to present to the client what building they would receive for $4.2 million.

PBG made changes that did not significantly alter the building and only a section 96 application was required.

The client was extremely satisfied with our concept design and approach and as such we were successful in the award of the project.

The project itself involved significant earthworks and the construction of a medical super clinic, containing:

  • Consulting suites for GP’s and Allied Health Practitioners
  • Dental Suites
  • Student classrooms, offices and observation rooms
  • Support services and shared facilities
  • Exercise and rehabilitation spaces
  • Diagnostic imaging, pharmacy and a pathology collection centre; and
  • An urgent care treatment area open for extended hours to treat medical conditions such as sports injuries, cuts and fractures

The GP Super Clinic offers innovative health care services in a one stop shop multi-disciplinary environment.

Patterson Building Group was appointed as head contractor to undertake the alteration of the existing operating theatre and the refurbishment of adjacent rooms to accommodate a new Hybrid Vascular Operating Theatre and Control Room at St George Hospital.

The work involved extensive coordination between gas, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical services as well as coordinating the provision of medical imaging equipment and medical and anaesthetic pendants; the provision of dust separation in areas which were being used by the hospital; and the provision of negative pressure systems to the construction areas.

Patterson Building Group were appointed as head contractor for the refurbishment of the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Ward C2 South and Level 2 CCIA Building.

The refurbishment delivered a 16 bed inpatient unit with a 50% dedicated ensuite, offering multi-day inpatient accommodation suitable for children admitted under the care of sub acute rehabilitation; neurosciences and orthopaedics.

Our work involved the upgrade of patient and parent areas; upgrade of offices, treatment rooms, clinic and other support areas within the Ward C2 South; provision of new day rehabilitation areas; provision of telemetry office; upgrade of nurse call system and engineering services upgrade within the ward.

Our work was undertaken in a fully operational hospital environment.
